Get Incident Updates

Read an incident’s change history

Overview

Returns the history of an incident: creation, status changes, severity changes, field updates and the notes added with Add Incident Update, newest first. Team comments written through Incident Comments are not included.

GET /api/incidents/{id}/updates

Authentication

X-API-Key: YOUR_API_KEY or Authorization: Bearer YOUR_JWT. A read-only key is sufficient.

Field	Type	Description
action	string	created, status_changed, severity_changed, acknowledged, resolved, closed, reopened, updated, assigned, or comment_added (a note added with Add Incident Update).
message	string | null	Note attached to the entry.
old_value / new_value	string | null	Previous and new value where relevant.
user_id, user_email, user_name	string | null	Who made the change; null for system actions.
created_at	string	ISO 8601 time.

Errors

Status	Code	Cause
400	VALIDATION_ERROR	id is not a UUID.
401	MISSING_AUTH, INVALID_API_KEY, INVALID_TOKEN	Missing or invalid credentials.
404	RESOURCE_NOT_FOUND	No such incident in your project.
