Add a note to an incident

Overview

Adds a note, attributed to the caller, to an incident.

POST /api/incidents/{id}/updates

Notes added here appear in Get Incident Updates as comment_added entries. Team discussion written through Incident Comments is returned by that endpoint instead, not by Get Incident Updates.

Authentication

X-API-Key: YOUR_API_KEY (read_write scope) or Authorization: Bearer YOUR_JWT. Requires the can_manage_incidents permission.

Errors

Status	Code	Cause
400	VALIDATION_ERROR	message missing, empty or over 1000 characters.
401	MISSING_AUTH, INVALID_API_KEY, INVALID_TOKEN	Missing or invalid credentials.
403	READ_ONLY_API_KEY, INSUFFICIENT_PERMISSIONS	Key is read-only, or the user cannot manage incidents.
404	RESOURCE_NOT_FOUND	No such incident in your project.
